5 QUESTION IN 1 MINUTE....

Dear candidates in bank po all of us have seen this type of question-----

there are total 5 question in quant section of bank exam...
usual time for solving the question is 5-7 minutes but with the help of this trick all 5 question can be solved in max. 1 minute

TRICK-----

SIGN GIVEN IN QUES                          SIGN OF FACTOR WHICH COMES IN THE ANSWER
          1. both sign are positive ( +)                                      both sign will be negative

          2.   first sign negative but second is positive             both will be positive

          3. first positive and second negative                          bigger factor with negative and smaller factor                                                                                                 with positive sign

          4. both negative                                                           bigger factor positive and smaller factor                                                                                                         negative

now lets take the first example given in the pic.. you can solve it in traditional way..
here m solving by TRICK...........

1.  factors of M will be 7 and 2. ( no need to calculate it)
2. question has first negative and second positive sign.
3. therefore answer will have positive sign for both the question as told above.
4. second part of same question has N with both negative sign and factors are 2 and 1
5. therefore, answer will have 2 as positive sign ( its bigger factor) and 1 will have negative sign.

NOW u can see that if u remember the above table then this question can be solved verbally...
no need to write nythng... just look at the question and give answer..
hope it helps...

    1. both equation in 2nd eg. have positive sign therefore both the equation will have all negative factors...
for first equation : 2m ^2 + 5m + 2 factors will be 1 and 4 but as we have coefficient of x as 2, we have to divide these factors by 2 therefore the factors will become -1/2 and -2...
same way solve the other equation and then compare...

  4. I dont understand this. Could you please try and explain this.:
In the following Questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and Give answer if:
    1) X > Y 2) X ≥ Y 3) X ≤ Y 4) X = Y or the relationship cannot be established.
    A I. x²-11x+24=0 II 2y²-9y+9=0
    B I. x³*13=x²*247 II y⅓*14=294/y⅔

Please explain step by step. Thank you in advance.

    1. A. factors of X = 8 and 3
      factors of Y = 6 and 3 but Y has coefficient 2 therefore divide the factors by 2.. u get 3 and 1.5
      now X= 8 and 3
      Y= 3 and 1.5
answer sud be 2 because both X and Y have one common factor 3....
      hope it clear now.......
i didnt get what u write in 2nd question...

  5. Thank you for your reply. Yes, That make sense. In the 2nd question it is X^3 * 13 = X^2 * 247 and y^1/3 * 294 / y^2/3. Also put your light on another question i.e. I would like to know if there is any difference in Questions asked in exam for bank PO and SO. The topics I know are almost the same. But the kind of questions they ask, Is there any difference if someone prepares for bank PO and appears for SO. The difficulty level of PO and SO? Moreover, Solving 50 questions in 30-35 minutes is a big challenge, when you can only view 1 question at a time on the computer screen. Also, if any one is aware of specific topics to focus on for the SO. My point i solving logical questions of P Q R S T V & W or Pictures or eligibility questions would eat up entire time. Please advise.

    1. the difficulty level is same except the SBI...and you dont have to solve all 50 question
there r few questions which can only be solved by practice but that only carry 10-15 question out of 100 question of maths and reasoning and for rest u have tricks.....
learn how, when and where u can use tricks thats the only requirement

  6. we have to find the factors?when we know the factors we can compare it.(traditional way).I am trying hard to understand this but end up in solving the traditional way.
