3 DIGIT MULTIPLICATION TRICKS

three digit multiplication trick.......... i will explain 3 ways for multiplication of 3 digit number...

TRICK NUMBER 1.   for numbers between 100 and 199

 example....              104 x 108
steps.. 1. multlply the last two digit ie 04 and 08= 32
           2. add last two digit of both numbers and than multiply with 1..... i.e 04+ 08= 12 x1 = 12
           3. write 1 as it is....
now the answer of this question is 11232......
see the pic for detail...


NOTE-  (at * in the pic.) u can see that in base 200, the number is added and then multiplied by 2 because i have taken base 200. if you take base 300 then u have to multiply it by 3 and so on.....
1.the trick is best used when you know the multiplication of last two digit.
2. if last two digits have zero (0), then it is the best trick.
3. this method can't be used when numbers are from different base like 202 x 303.

    please tell for 380*30 d= ?
    in above mentioned procedure....
    80*20=1600
    80+20=100x3=300
    3^2=9
    so finally 93001600 ...not able track dis..please help

      sorry i txted wrong...
      my query is 380*320
      1> 80*20=1600
      2> 80+20=100.., 100*3=300
      3> 3^2=9
      now totally 9/300/1600 ... confused in carrying.. wch digit to carry.. final ans is 121600... please help me//

      for 380*30
      1.multiply right end digits 0*0=0
      2.then cross multiply(neglect 3) 80 &30=8*0+3*0=0
      3.now cross multiply(neglect 0) 38&30=3*0+3*8=24=4(2 carry)
      4.multiply left end digits 3*3=9+carry=9+2+11
      final ans. 11400
      so simple & helpful....

      351*316

      => 51*16 = 816, take 16 only, carry remainig 8
      => 51+16 = 67*3=201, add 8 with 201, 209
      => 3^3=9, add 9 with 2 = 11

    can u explain 165*144..acc 2 u..65*44 which is 2860 v ll write 60 n carry over 28 now 5 + 4 = 9 + 28 = 37 we all write 3760 n now 1squr which is 1 now the calc is 13760 but ans is 23760..how?

      232*218
      => 32*18=576
      =>32+18=50*2=100
      =>2^2=4

      In 576, take last 2 digit "76", carry remaining 5 is added to 100, so 105 is come.take 05. carry remaining"1" is added to 4. 5 will come.

      5-05-76

      ans is 50576

    => 65*44=2860, take 60 only. carry remaining 28
    => 65+44 = 109 =>109*1 => 109, add 28+109 = 137, take 37 only. carry remining 1.
    => 1^1 =1, add 1 with remaing 1= 2
